Helping people solve their problems ... Legally

ATTORNEY AT LAW

In 1979, Philip was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature of England and Wales and earned a Bachelor of Laws degree (Honours) LL.B from the University of London. He practiced law in London and Southwest England before his admission to the Bar of the Cayman Islands in 1982. During his years with a leading local law firm, he established himself as the head of the Litigation Department and later served as Country Managing Partner (Cayman Islands) for a prestigious international law firm.

In 2020, Philip opened his law firm Resolute Legal Ltd., specializing in personal injury, employment, strata and mediation. As an accredited mediator, recognized by ADR Chambers UK Limited and the UK Civil Mediation Council, Philip regularly advises national and international corporate clients.

Chambers Global listed Philip as a leading lawyer in Dispute Resolution (2014-2015). The Legal 500 and The Legal 500 Caribbean recommended him in Dispute Resolution (2014-2017) and (2019-2020). He is a Notary Public and member of the Cayman Islands Law Society, England and Wales Law Society, and American Bar Associations.

Philip is an accomplished lawyer with years of experience. His engaging personality enhances his warmth and friendliness, and his enchanting sense of humour quickly sets the tone for a more relaxing atmosphere, especially beneficial during mediation.

There is a saying that Philip often refers to “knowledge is proud he knows so much; and wisdom is humble that it knows no more”. During 40 years of dispute resolution, he has witnessed knowledge’s pride creating shortcomings on many occasions. The truth is that “knowledge” often does not listen to the client and fails to understand the components of the dispute. Whereas “wisdom” has the knowledge and experience to guide the client through the dispute, often saving thousands of dollars while reaching an informal and fair settlement.

It is crucial to take the inflammation out of the dispute and not allow anger or ego to cloud the issues. Vexatious behaviour will impede a party from obtaining a satisfactory resolution to the conflict. Therefore, it is essential to identify the clients’ goals, manage their expectations, understand their budget – and offer sound advice. The idea is to settle the dispute quickly and avoid legal expenses, allowing everyone to return to their lives and families happily.

At Resolute Legal Ltd, Philip Boni works hard to resolve conflicts, assisting his clients to reach the best possible result for each circumstance. In this way, everyone involved experiences a win-win solution.
